Barbi Twins Biography (cont.)
Shadowed by a lifelong struggle with the life and death epidemic of bulimia, they would eventually rise up together and triumph over the disease, ultimately helping others with the same issues, using personal experiences and sharing their poignant message of recovery. Armed with degrees in nutrition, biochemistry and kinesiology, the Barbi Twins are enthusiastically sought out as eating disorder spokeswomen for universities, nationwide. As health authors, their initial book, "Dying to be Healthy", received major coverage in the media, as well as excellent reviews as “an honest, revealing and painful story”. Devout vegans, their second book, “The Eco Anti-Diet Book”, outlines a food plan and eating style based on body type, allowing freedom from compulsive eating and promoting lifelong health and sound eating choices.
Dr. Drew reviewed their diet book very highly and calls the Barbi Twins his
friends. Coinciding with the marketing of their books, the twins also have had their own successful line of vitamins and other health related products.
